Nair Service Society

The Nair Service Society is a prominent organization in Kerala that has been making significant contributions in the social, cultural and educational field since 1914.The Founder-Leader of the Nair Service Society was the legendary, Sri Mannathu Padmanabhan who had been honoured with Padmabhushan by the Hon’ble President of India for his outstanding service to the society, in general and to the Nair community, in particular. The Nair Service Society was founded by Sri Mannathu Padmanabhan on 31-10-1914. He led the Nair Service Society by his powerful leadership over a long period of fifty six years.

The people of Kerala duly honoured him with the title BharathaKesari for his distinguished and dynamic activities in the domain of public service. He established several educational institutions and hospitals and was instrumental in starting various social and charitable organizations through his persistent effort and endeavours, by collecting money and material contributions from the public. These institutions cater to the educational and social needs of all members of the society cutting across religious and communal barriers.

The declared policy of the Nair Service Society was to ensure social justice for all by strongly embracing secular democratic principles.

The Nair Service Society  has been carrying out its activities as a social, cultural and educational organization without giving space for divisive and sectarian forces and by upholding communal peace and harmony and safeguarding national interests while ensuring social service to the society as well as community.
